The History of Rebelion
Rebelion was started around 600B.C. as a small group of villages, a couple dozen miles north of the Caspian Sea. After about 120 years, the nation of Rebelion had grown in land, population, cities, technology, its military(that it could even rival and best that of Sparta's), learning, and of course in government.
Reblion had thought of and used a democratic government, well before any other powerful nation used it fully.
But around 480B.C. Rebelion got wind of the Persians trying conquer Greece, and all the Greek city-states that opposed it, and tried to help the Greeks against the Persians. So the Rebelionites sailed a navy south inside the Caspian Sea. These ships were quiped with balistas, and catapults. While the navy was doing this the Rebelion army marched south inside the mountain range, also carrying smaller catapults and balistas. The Rebelionites finally came to the spot they desired, a point where the distance between the Caspian Sea and the mountains was but a few miles. When the Persians finally realized that a powerful military force had invaded their land they sent a portion of their army to try and take the Rebelionites out, but they had already set up their equipment and slaughtered the Persians.
But of course this was overshadowed by Greece fighting back as well. Themistocles winning at Sea, and the Spartans and other Greeks fighting at Thermopylae helped to push Rebelion news of victory out of the world's eyes.
Soon Rebelion drifted into a less powerful nation. It felt no need to keep a powerful military anymore. With less military the citizens felt less protected and left. After which Rebelion drifted into mere tall tales, and fantasy.
But during the turmoil of WWI, Rebelion again sparked into a great nation, but by the time they had grown into a size that could do any good, the war had been done. Later in WWII the Russians had cut off the ability to go to war(unknowingly) and the Rebelionites had no desire to fight with the Russians at that time.
But around 2000 Rebelion finally started tp become the powerhouse nation that it was, and laid the groundwork for what it would become. And it started its own space program, with intentions to discover and colonize a new planet.
Rebelion succeded, to the astonishment of the world, and colonized the first planet they could, Fith. Later it was discovered that there are Wolfens, half dragon and half wolf, on the Rebelion home world, the legendary creatures of old from when Rebelion was on Earth. And just recently it has been discover that there are also WereWolfens, these creatures have been confirmed to transform the attack victims. "Victims" cannot change back into human form, but are faster, stronger, and even more intelligent.
Several decades after Rebelion first colonized Fith, and it's brother planet Ian, it went further into the stars and colonized dozens of planets, vastly expanding it's territory. This would eventually form much of what Rebelion has in the Milky Way Galaxy. During this period Rebelion went through a somewhat militaristic change. Although it only built up its weapons, ships, and military size(without infringing on rights) and the momentum that followed with it has formed Rebelion's present military.
In the waning time, that was the end of Rebelion's Milky Way territorial expansion, there was a discovery that found, in the hands of Rebelion scientist, ancient technology and computer systems. This new found information, which included coordinates, and information on better SlipSpace technology, Rebelion found itself expanding in all directions. Rebelion gained better, faster, more effcient SlipSpace technology, profoundly greater ship born shields, and brand new coordinates to a new galaxy.
Rebelion took the coordinates, and used their new SlipSpace drives(dubbed Malevolent SlipSpace drives/engines) which could let them travel entire galaxies within mere hours, or minutes, instead of months or weeks, and they found what would eventually be named the Prescott Galaxy, named after the Admiral who had led the expedition.
While at their new galaxy, they found two civiliaztions, the Apathangelis, and the Gotrybis. The former being an advanced race, extremely similar to humans, except that they have wings, usually have gold or silver colored hair and skin. And the Gotrbis, a somewhat advanced race, that is extremely xenophobic, and violent.
In the coming months, Rebelion found peace, and an alliance with the Apathangelis. And they kept their distance from the Gotrybis. During this time, the Apathangelis allowed Rebelion to share custody of the Prescott Galaxy, essentially giving their galaxy to Rebelion.
